Most of you will know that, for a number of years, we have entered this race. For those who don't know,it starts at Caernarfon Castle on Saturday 6th June, with 10 stages of varying lengths/elevations that day, ending in Newtown, Mid Wales. After a hearty meal, we camp overnight at the local Rec. Centre, arise early & complete another 10 stages to the finish at Cardiff Castle.Traditionally, we then retire to a local hostelry, for some liquid refreshment, and a slap up meal. Some of us stay over on the Sunday night, at a Premier Inn. If you just want to come for one of the days, or be a supporter/ car driver, then you are welcome to do so. It's always been a great weekend away, running through sleepy Welsh villages( I suspect the residents don't they don't know what's hit them), supporting each other, competing against 60+ other teams, and generally having a lot of fun. Full details can be found on the LesCroupiers website at : www.lescroupierswcr.org/welcome-wcr/ So far, 10 people have put their names down on the Facebook Welsh Castles event page but we do need at least 22( 2 reserves are certainly needed). I will have to make a decision, about whether to submit our entry , by the end of February....it's £400 to enter, and once accepted, we are committed to putting out a full team. Please let me know asap., if you would like to enter. If you are new to the Club & would like more information, please contact me

One week to go before I have to make a decision about entering. I have the following names: Robert Webster Andy Sudlow Adele Curran Jen Chambers Robert Chambers Sharon Eaton Ali McNay Kate Lightfoot Amanda Davies Mike Davies Charlie Eldred Tim Charmley Rodney Jones Martin Durrant
Maybes are: Kathy Frankland Karl Nicholas David Oldfield Simon Duckett
That makes 18, so we are still unable to form a full team. Ideally, we should have 23 names...reserves are most important. Please let me know if I've missed anyone, and if you would like to run. It has always been a great weekend.
