Good luck everyone doing Wrexham Half today, hope the weather is being sensible!
I luckily managed to get myself a place at today's Hong Kong half (we missed places when they opened a couple of months ago - went in a couple of hours) - found a loophole for last minute entries for people that had arrived recently.
I finished in 1:52, still a way off my best, but a big improvement on my other post Lydia times! The course was a little dull, as it was on very wide bypass type roads (7 lanes in one place) - still no problems with congestion - just a little hilly with the flyovers and tunnel.
Local runners really are pretty slow - I had opted for the second wave of 4, supposedly meaning I would finish between 2hrs and 2.20. The first left at a very unsociable 5.30. It was nice to feel that I was near the front of a big race! There were pretty few women around - most of the faster ones were western. No official results yet.
I got luck with no real extremes of weather (although a bit humid and windy at times) - better than home!
Pleased to be making inroads on my London training, although its tough finding flattish routes here.

Alas I didn't have my vest with me as I didn't think I would be racing in Hong Kong. Felt all wrong without it! Rob should be wearing his this weekend for a trail race, though!
